Hello, my name is Tracy. I have recently moved to Stratford with my husband Gary, son Ayden, cats Pippi and Sabre and my 3 dogs Piper, Eevee and Jax.
I have been an educator in Homebase care for around 8 years. I started out by being a parent with my son in care and loved all that it had to offer. I was talked into becoming an educator and I now have a Level 4 in Early Childhood Education and hold a current First Aid Certificate! To me it’s about all of us being in it together – meaning each child, their parents and Whanau, our service and myself are all in a close, communicative group who look after and support each other while providing the best of care and learning for each child through respect, kindness, honesty, love, and trust.
I strive to develop strong relationships with the children in my care and their Whanau, as I believe that these relationships form the foundation of a happy, healthy and safe learning environment for each child to develop and grow. I offer a great learning space with plenty of toys, puzzles, books, arts & crafts, messy play, outdoor fun and activities – covering all age groups, children’s personal interests, developmental stages and their educational needs. We will also attend a regular playgroup and plenty of exciting excursions that have been planned by our team at Cherish.
I look forward to meeting you all and can’t wait for our exciting journey of learning and exploring to begin.
